Why having a morning routine will help you be more productive

Waking up early for most of my life has been unpleasant, to the point it made me unhappy for a few hours every morning. Choosing to work in the medical field has not been helpful.

I would get up as late as possible, skip breakfast, rush to work, and then feel like I was trying to catch up the rest of the day, like I was lagging behind.

This type of routine will take its toll on your physical and mental well-being and majorly impact your productivity.

Now I happily wake up around 5:30 am each day. Even on weekends, I’m usually up by 7 am. It helps having a toddler, do she doesn’t often wake up before 6:30 am.

I’ve learned so much about how creating good habits and a morning routine are critical for lifetime success. A morning routine sets the rithm for the whole day, and if you do each day like it.

One of my goals for this year was to get into a good morning routine in order to set myself up for the day.

I had to work smarter, not harder, and the first step was to read and research about daily habits. One of the books I read is Atomic habits. Besides being a very interesting read, it is quite useful.

So after research, I’ve decided to keep one hour every morning for myself, my routine…
