My daughter’s beauty petrifies me because in this day and age she needs to know how to defend herself even more than ever. She is beautiful, it’s not only us saying so, the way all parents see their child the most beautiful. We have actually been asked why we don’t make her a model.

When you open the newspaper or start the tv on the news. Most of the news will be filled with rapes, female such and such has come out to say she has been sexually assaulted, and the list continues. We don’t have female body autonomy in most countries still, so how can we expect that the world will respect a female body autonomy?

We need to start by educating our kids both genders that is. By teaching them what consent is. What body autonomy is.

I read an article today about a 13-year-old girl from my home town that at this point in her life is sick of been sexualized, and treated like a piece of meat by her school male colleagues. This little girl has stopped wearing skirts to school alongside with all her female classmates, so don’t think she is alone in this.

And when the list of abusive behaviours has risen to a point I can’t even bring myself to write about, nobody did anything. The boys’ parents…
